Real Oviedo brought Matchday 14 in LaLiga Hypermotion to a close tonight, with the Los Azules travelling to face Real Zaragoza in a tough away match, looking to extend their fine run of form. Following the recent good results, Luis Carrión opted to repeat the same starting eleven he had used against Alcorcón, made up of Leo Román, Oier Luengo, Costas, Calvo, Abel Bretones, Colombatto, Cazorla, Sebas, Viti, Seoane and Bastón.

The hosts' need to get back to winning ways was apparent right from the outset, but Los Azules did not take a step back. In the 29th minute Real Oviedo's intensity and pressing had the desired effect and Seoane forced the keeper into a mistake, but his effort struck the post. The rebound fell to Bastón, but the forward was unable to get a shot away under pressure from the home defender, and the score remained 0-0. Luis Carrión's side also appealed for a penalty from the same passage of play, but without reward. Zaragoza also threatened, but Leo Román proved up to the challenge, keeping the scores level going into half-time.

Real Oviedo took a step on after the interval, and Bastón had a good opportunity in the 50th minute. The forward met a good Sebas Moyano cross, but his header went just wide. The match continued in an even fashion, but with both teams enjoying chances. In the 66th minute Seoane went close to converting from a low right-wing cross. Camarasa and Alemão came on in place of Cazorla and Bastón, as the Asturians continued to search for the winner. Both teams continued to search for the goal which would give them the victory, and Zaragoza eventually managed to find the back of the net in the 89th minute. However, the goal was ruled out for offside. Los Carbayones, thanks in part to a spectacular Leo Román performance, were able to withstand a late push from the hosts, and pick up a valuable point from one of the toughest grounds in the division.

This draw sees Real Oviedo continue their unbeaten run, with thoughts now on the coming league fixture against Cartagena at the Tartiere.
