The fact that Real Oviedo cross borders is not just an empty statement, but rather a true reflection of the club's reality. A fine example of it is the fifty International Department players who will this season fill the rooms of the Fundoma residence and Real Oviedo's training pitches once more.

Thanks to the work of the Real Oviedo Foundation, this year the club will have a total of 46 players from 22 different countries, ranging from South Korea to Malaysia, Australia to Egypt, Mozambique to the USA, and Kyrgyzstan to Colombia and Puerto Rico. All of them share one universal language; that of football, which can be found in their boots and which grows thanks to the International Department's working model and coaching methods.

These footballers are young players aged between 12 and 22, who are full of excitement at the start of the new season. Last Saturday saw them presented with their certificate for participation in the 2023/24 annual programme by Real Oviedo Managing Director Agustín Lleida and Director of the Real Oviedo Foundation César Martín.

These youngsters live their day-to-day lives with different Real Oviedo squads, working under their training methods, and are a clear example of how our club's beautiful story has spread since 1926. It has now extended beyond our city all around the world, where these boys now tell stories of their new family, 'La familia azul'.
