Real Oviedo picked all three golden points against a needy CD Numancia. Generelo made just one change in the starting XI from last game at San Mamés as Hervías replaced Borja Valle, but plans had to be changed as on the 30th minute mark Koné got injured so Borja Valle was brought on.

Prior to his injury, Koné had made a couple of attempts on Juan Pablo's goal. Firstly, the Ivory Coast striker shot off the top corner of the visitors' goal; then he managed to produce a chance but was fouled by the opposition. As a result he had to be substituted by Borja Valle due to a shoulder injury. Miño saved a shot from Alegría. Michel made another attempt from outside the penalty box, after a deflected corner kick.

In the second half, Real Oviedo got more possession and, after a couple of crosses that were not connected, Vila had a clear chance in a set piece but he failed to produce an accurate header. Once again, an assist from left back Peña did not find a striker as the ball went past the goal. Miño produced a couple of good actions; first, he punched off a corner kick and, then, he saved a one on one counter. CD Numancia Ripa saw his second yellow and Linares was brought onto the pitch with a winning aim. Real Oviedo pressed up front and they managed to score at last. After a well built up play, Toche scored when Míchel gave him a fine assist in between the defensive lines that left him alone in front of Juan Pablo. Near the final whistle, Susaeta was booked for the second time so he was sent off, playing both teams with one man down.

All in all, three points for Real Oviedo to move up onto the third spot on the Liga Adelante table with nine games left to play.
