Real Titánico and Real Oviedo Vetusta faced one another this Sunday morning at Las Tolvas, ending in a 1-0 away win for the team from the capital of Asturias.
Jaime Álvarez opted for a starting eleven made up of Berto Hórreo; Pablo Menéndez, Javi Moreno, René, Osky; Yayo, Mangel; Chus, Alex Cardero, Viti and Pedregal. Vetusta took control of the match right from the outset and demonstrated great defensive solidity.
The first half began with a clear chance for Titánico, but Vetusta responded and dominated the encounter, having the better of the play and the chances. Los Azules put in a fine display in the opening forty-five minutes, which saw them play at a high tempo and dominate the ball, putting together fine combinations both through the middle and out on the wings. Pedregal on two occasions and Alex Cardero had the best opportunities to break the deadlock, before Chus did finally manage to hit the back of the net from a rebound. The goal saw the B team grow even stronger out on the pitch, as they ended the half in search of a second goal.
Vetusta continued in the same fashion after the interval, with Chus going close within a minute of the restart. The winger had another go shortly afterwards from forty metres and the home keeper was forced to make a fine save to prevent him doubling his tally. The side from Laviana was forced to push forward in search of an equaliser and began to threaten. Conceiçao and Samuel Nnoshiri came on in the first changes, followed by David Iglesias and Lucas Laso, and finally Isaac. The match ended with Titánico putting Vetusta under pressure, but the B team able to deal with the danger.
Jaime Álvarez's team triumphed at Las Tolvas today to stay top of the table and increase their lead. Next weekend will see Real Oviedo Vetusta face CD Mosconia at El Requexón.
