The Escuela Real Oviedo, through the Real Oviedo Foundation, has reached a collaboration agreement with UD San Claudio. The deal will see Real Oviedo take over the management of their fellow Oviedo-based club, with the Estadio José Ramón Suárez providing the base for the Escuela de Fútbol Real Oviedo San Claudio.
It marks another step in the Escuela Real Oviedo's social project, which has grown from 60 to 250 children talking part in football training in recent years.
The agreement with UD San Claudio demonstrates the Real Oviedo Foundation's appreciation of sport in Oviedo. Los Azules are forming a link with one of the oldest clubs in the city. UD San Claudio's first team is currently playing in the Regional Preferente Division, while the club also has teams in many of the different divisions of Asturian football.
The deal is a long-term agreement, being signed for a term lasting until 30th June 2028. Through it young footballers will be able to play under the Real Oviedo working methodology, in UD San Claudio's fantastic facilities.
The Escuela de Fútbol Real Oviedo San Claudio is now a reality and will soon begin activity, full of football, values, and Oviedismo. Registration will open soon on the club's webpage. Write to escuela@realoviedo.es for further information.
