Real Oviedo Vetusta beat Coruxo this afternoon at El Requexón in the latest league fixture, with the match ending 1-0 to Emilio Cañedo's team.
The Carbayón B team, revitalised following last weekend's three points in Pontevedra, emerged for this home match with the clear intention of ncontinuing their improving form.  They were also looking for another victory which would allow them to move away from the relegation places. Los Azules did not allow Coruxo to get comfortable during the first half, bringing a very high tempo into the match.  Vanderson scored the goal for the hosts, capitalising on a rebound inside the box.  Vetusta gradually took control of the encounter, enjoying the better of the chances.  The teams went in for halftime with the score 1-0.  The Galician side made some adjustments to their team in the second half, in an attempt to pin the Asturians back in their own half.  Cañedo's side had to spend some time defending solidly, countering the away side's threat.  The match ended at a high tempo, with both sides having chances to score.
This was a second consecutive win for Real Oviedo Vetusta, who managed to open up a gap between themselves and the relegation zone.  The B team will travel to Galicia next Saturday to face Racing de Ferrol.
