Second Week of Isolation Completed

Having now come through the second week of the lockdown enforced due to COVID-19, it's time to compile a list of the different initiatives launched by Real Oviedo with the aim of making the quarantine period more pleasant. Thanks to this list, Oviedistas will have all of the different activities just a click away, and will be able to access them more easily.

One of the activities to receive the warmest reception amongst the fans has been the opportunity to relive classic Real Oviedo clashes.  So far, fans of Los Azules have been able to enjoy a Real Oviedo - Real Madrid fixture, a Real Oviedo - Barcelona clash, and an encounter between Real Oviedo and Real Sporting.  They had a full match experience available to them, with build-up, live coverage, and post-match reaction. A documentary which makes obligatory viewing, which allows Oviedistas to be participants in our return to LaLiga.  This is the story of promotion as told by its main characters, with images that only they had seen, and in which the members of the 2014-15 first-team squad share their memories and feelings about an unforgettable season and set of playoffs.  This is a story worthy of a film.  To enjoy this content, please use the following

With the aim of keeping us all in shape, first-team fitness coach Alberto Martínez has produced a real daily work plan for our players.  The exercises are applicable for anybody at home, with the aim of helping us to keep exercising day by day, despite the exceptional situation.  The training plan can be found here <https://youtu.be/j8K0ieTrUSI>.

Proving that unity is the best way to combat COVID-19, Real Oviedo and Real Sporting joined forces to launch a charitable initiative, with the objective of raising funds to help with the battle against the virus, making the most of the date that the two teams had been scheduled to meet in LaLiga Smartbank.  The initiative began with a joint message thanking all those workers within our society that are giving all their effort and hard work to make this situation as normal as possibly can be.  The second part of #EsteDerbiLoGanamosTodos (We all win this derby) consisted of virtual football matches, disputed by Álvaro Vázquez, Nacho Méndez, Yoel Bárcenas and Carlos Hernández on Sunday.  Los Azules triumphed overall, but the best news of the afternoon was the donations made to charity.  You can see almost an hour and a half of football, fun and solidarity here. <https://youtu.be/F88EvSWCQiI>.

Finally, some of the most emotive initiatives of the past few weeks were the events to mark the club's 94th anniversary.  They ranged from the launch of a commemorative shirt marking the date, to the production of a musical video with different messages of support for Oviedismo, Spain, and the world.  The anniversary also saw the emotional scenes of people singing the club song on their balconies.
