Real Oviedo winger Marco Sangalli appeared before the Press today, as the team returned to training at El Requexón.
The Basque winger, who scored the equaliser at the Carlos Belmonte yesterday, began by talking about the "great weight" which the team lifted off itself by getting the three points in Albacete, as they moved out of the relegation zone in the process. "The team has responded to Javi Rozada's arrival and this victory is a great joy for the team and the fans. We can enjoy it today, but now we have to start thinking about the next match and about getting the first win at home this Sunday. We need it."
Regarding the comeback in Albacete, Sangalli explained that "the first half was even, but we dominated the second half. We had opportunities to draw, and then to win it. We are all very happy. We dominated against Numancia too, and against Zaragoza as well... The team has taken a step forward, with a lot of possession, and creating chances from the wings and through the middle. We were missing Ortuño and Yoel (Bárcenas), and going into the match we didn't have a player on the pitch who had scored this season, but in the end we scored two away goals, which isn't at all easy in this division."
Speaking about his individual role, the Basque player highlighted that "I just try to help the team as much as I can. It's good that the Coach can use me in different positions, but the most important thing is to do well wherever he puts me. It all depends on the match. The Coach is very good at reading opponents, and yesterday he told me and Borja to give us numerical superiority in the middle, and to let Juanjo (Nieto) have the whole wing. Juanjo did fantastically out wide and we created a lot through Borja and Saúl, which is how we got the goals."
With respect to goal scoring, Sangalli doesn't care who gets on the mark."Whoever it is, the important thing is that Real Oviedo scores. It doesn't matter if it's one player or another. We need the team in general to score a lot of goals. Yesterday football repaid us for a bit of the bad luck we have been suffering, although it still owes us. We also went looking for the luck. I think we deserved it, and we are happy about it."
Finally, regarding the next match at the Carlos Tartiere, Sangalli stated that "we will have to score more than one in order to play more freely, but if we are winning by only a goal then we will have to cling onto it as tightly as possible. If you want to get away from the bottom and move upwards in this division then you have to become strong out on the pitch and pick up wins."
