Real Oviedo Head Coach Javi Rozada today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
As with all pre-match press conferences, the Coach began by offering an update on his squad ahead of the match, commenting that "Saúl (Berjón) is in the final stage of his recovery and we hope he'll back next week. Juanjo (Nieto) has muscle fatigue and we will wait for him.  Yoel (Bárcenas) is back and we'll have him with us."
With respect to possible changes to the starting eleven, Rozada highlighted that "every match is different.  We prepare matches according to what is necessary.  Riki did well and played with personality.  I was pleased with his performance and we have to make him an asset for the club."
Asked whether Saúl's absence affects the team's play, the Oviedo-born coach said that "Saúl and Sangalli had been important for us, and the players are more comfortable with Saúl there.  He is the team's leader and we miss him.  We have to avoid a dependency (on him) and find ways for the team to be comfortable."  In addition, regarding competition at left back, Javi stated that "Mossa had played seven in a row and performed well for the team.  Christian can play at centre back or at full back.  I am happy with both, and they will both play a lot from here to the end of the season."
Regarding the working environment, Javi Rozada highlighted that "I try to focus on the weekend's game.  What goes on around us can't distract us. There are five cup finals to go and we need to get as many points as possible.  We will try to manage it and do what's in our hands.  The people who make other decisions are trying to do the best they can."
Finally, speaking about Las Palmas, the Coach said that "they are an inconsistent team.  They have two matchwinners in Pedri and Viera.  They are very good and will put us under pressure.  We have to stick together, focus, and know what to do in order to win."
