Javi Rozada’s Real Oviedo Vetusta side have made history. The B team this morning sealed their return to Segunda División B after beating UD Multivera 3-1 in the second leg of the playoff at El Requexón, triumphing with an aggregate score of 5-1. Steven, Viti and David González scored the goals this morning as Vetusta returned to Segunda División B.

The domination of Rozada’s team was apparent right from the early stages of the match. Viti had the best chance at the start, but he couldn’t get a clear shot in from a left-wing cross, under pressure from the away defence. The team demonstrated a fine level of performance and controlled the game, going into the break at 0-0.

In the second half, Real Oviedo’s superiority was finally translated intogoals. Steven gave Vetusta the lead from a rebound, strengthening the team’s advantage in the tie. Multivera were a man down after Antxón saw red, but they did manage to find an equaliser on the day. However, Real Oviedo B reacted and sealed the triumph with a goal from Viti. Finally, David González added a third goal on the day, and the hundreds of Oviedistas in attendance were able to celebrate a historic return to Segunda División B with the team.

CONGRATULATIONS VETUSTA!
