2017 has come to an end for the Real Oviedo youth teams, and we wanted to review how the first half of the season has gone for them in their respective divisions.
Real Oviedo end the year in second place in Grupo II of the Tercera División, with 43 points, and two behind top of the table, Marino de Luanco. Javi Rozada’s men, who are in the battle to win the division, end the year with thirteen victories, four draws and two defeats. Striker, Steven Prieto, is one of the leading scorers of Grupo II, with 15 goals. The Carbayón B team will begin the new year by welcoming Valdesoto to El Requexón.
The Real Oviedo Juvenil first team, who participate in Grupo I of the División de Honor Juvenil, are currently fifth, and have registered nine victories, three draws, and five defeats. Juvenil A open the new year with a match against RC Villalbes at El Requexón.
Meanwhile, the Juvenil second team ended the year as the leader of Grupo II of the Liga Nacional. Los Carbayones, who have accumulated thirteen wins, three draws, and one defeat, are currently two points ahead of second placed Sporting de Gijón. Real Oviedo Juvenil B will begin 2018 by facing San Claudio at the José Ramón Suárez Fernández.
Real Oviedo Cadete A finished 2017 in second place in the Primera Cadete. They have earned 37 points and are battling for first place, currently trailing the leaders by two points. Cadete A will begin the new year away from home, travelling to Avilés to face Avilés Deportivo.
Real Oviedo Cadete B are top of Grupo B of the Segunda Cadete division. They have 33 points, ahead of second-place CD Covadonga B. Los Carbayones have picked up ten victories, four draws and one defeat, and will begin the new year at the Santa Bárbara against Atlético de Lugones.
Real Oviedo Infantil A occupy second place in the Primera Infantil division, trailing the leaders by eight points. Infantil A have registered eleven victories, one draw, and two defeats. Los Oviedistas will begin 2018 away from home at Caudal.
Meanwhile, Real Oviedo Infantil B are top of Grupo B. Our youth team, who close 2017 with 13 victories and one draw, are three points ahead of CD Los Campos, and will face Juventud Estadio B in the first game of 2018.
Real Oviedo are top of the Primera Alevín division, five points ahead of second-placed Real Sporting. They have earned a total of fourteen victories so far, and are the only unbeaten side in the league.
Meanwhile, Real Oviedo Alevín B also end the year top of the league, two points ahead of second-placed Atlético de Lugones. Los Oviedistas have picked up 13 victories, one draw and two defeats, and will start 2018 by facing Juventud Estadio B.
With respect to our younger sides, Benjamín A are third, Benjamín B are fifth, Prebenjamín A are third, and Prebenjamín B are fourth. These teams begin 2018 by playing EF Oviedo Vetusta, CD Mosconia, EF de Mareo, and CD Romanón C, respectively.
