Alberto Reina appeared this Monday in the press room of El Requexón with a clear message: confidence, ambition, and maximum focus on what lies ahead. After the important victory achieved last weekend against Girona FC, the blue midfielder highlighted the good morale in the locker room and the need to maintain that momentum in a week that is once again decisive.

"The team is doing very well," said Reina. "We start a new week with great enthusiasm and with our sights set on the match against Rayo. Hopefully, we can build a positive dynamic and give continuity to what we have started."

Regarding the next league match, the player was resolute. The clash against the Vallecano team presents itself as a true final in the fight for the objective. "We have no margin. It is a key match, and we have to go there with everything. They will have their circumstances, but we must focus on our work, on what we are doing well, and on continuing to refine small details to secure three points."

Analyzing the victory against Girona, Reina valued the team's performance in both areas and the impact of the substitutions. "In attack, we created several clear chances and managed to capitalize on one. Defensively, we struggled a bit more in the first half with the high press, but the collective work was very good. Additionally, the substitutions provided that extra boost we needed."

On a personal level, the midfielder expressed satisfaction with his continuity in the starting eleven. "What we footballers like the most is being on the pitch. I am enjoying it and trying to help the team in every way I can."

When asked about staying up, Reina avoided making calculations and focused on a game-by-game approach. "I’m not one to do the math. Every match is decisive because we have earned few points and there is no margin for error. Right now, Rayo is all that exists. From the inside, we believe, and the feelings are also good from the outside. We have been close many times, and finally, the victory we needed came. Now we have to repeat it as many times as we can."

The blue player also wanted to highlight the constant support of the Oviedo fans. "It’s spectacular. Both away and at the Tartiere, the people don’t fail us and push us even in a difficult situation. That support is very noticeable."

Finally, Reina had words of praise for Santi Cazorla. "There is very healthy competition. Santi is an example, he trains at an extremely high level, and he has experienced absolutely everything in football. Having him close and counting on his support is a luxury. Hopefully, we can spend more time together on the pitch."
