Real Oviedo midfielder, Ramon Folch, appeared in the Press Room this morning following the team’s training session at El Requexón.

The Catalan assured fans that, “we are trying not to think about the defeat anymore and just focusing on Albacete, since we will be facing a very difficult opponent. At the end of the day, the Coach has said all along that we need to compete. I think we did that pretty well, but due to a few mistakes we couldn’t get the win.”

Following Rocha’s red card, Folch commented that, “the referee is in charge and we shouldn’t judge him. We knew how to stand up to them with ten men. The same happened to Rayo when they played us and had someone sent off. These things can happen over the course of a season. The team worked quite well. You have to cover more gaps and more ground. However, some games are like that, either for you or for your opponent, and you always have to compete the best you can. This time we were unable to take home the victory.”

Now focusing on Albacete, the midfielder warned that, “Albacete will be very difficult. They are in very good form, even though their start to the season wasn’t good. They are tactically very well-drilled as a team, and they know what they are doing. It will be very difficult.”

Asked whether the team had emerged stronger from the game at the Carranza despite their inability to pick up any points, Folch concluded by pointing out that, “we did some things which were wrong and weren’t good, and we need to improve on them.”
