Real Oviedo defender, Juan Forlín, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón following the second training session of the week.

Following the defeat in Cádiz, the Argentine admitted that, “it hurt to take the lead and not be able to seal the win.” However, he continued by declaring that, “now it’s time to think about Albacete. There’s no time to stop. Saturday’s match is our next target.” Furthermore, Juan Forlín said that, “it’s time to wipe the slate clean and start again. We are only thinking about Albacete now; it would be a mistake to think any further ahead.”

Talking about the even nature of the second half of the season and the competition which exists in the division, the defender said that, “the second half is difficult. We have a lot at stake and we need to push on. What happened on Saturday has to make us stronger. Now is the time to turn over a new leaf, work hard, and focus on Albacete.” In addition, he reasoned that, “we can’t go into games convinced that we will beat our opponent. That would be a mistake as every team is competitive. Anyone can beat you and we need to work hard, while thinking about the strengths and weaknesses of our opponents.”

Referring to the importance of returning to the Carlos Tartiere for the latest round of fixtures, Juan Forlín highlighted that, “we feel comfortable at home, with our fans backing us. We are aware that a strong team is visiting, and we will have to play very well to get a good result. The Tartiere is going to be important, but we are going to play the same way both home and away.”

Finally, talking about whether he preferred to play in midfield or in defence, Juan Forlín said that, “it’s up to the Coach. I focus on training and showing him that I want to play each weekend. I don’t care where I play. I am here to add to the group, and I will play anywhere,” concluded the Argentine.
