In 10 days another Supporters' Weekend will arrive at the Carlos Tartiere, marking Real Oviedo's match against SD Eibar on 19th November. Activities over the course of the weekend will include a visit to the stadium, attendance at the match, getting to know the city and the region, and going to a first-team training session.
The 'Proud of You' movement was born in November 2012, during the share campaign in which Real Oviedo had its very existence at stake. Since that moment, Los Azules have looked to build on that foundation and strengthen their links to their international shareholders with different activities and initiatives, such as the Supporters' Weekend.
In order to underline the reach and importance of this initiative, we had a chat with James Harriman, Real Oviedo's Head of International Projects, and Sid Lowe, the international journalist and one of the architects of the 'Proud of You' movement.
