The 2021/2022 season is drawing closer, with the LaLiga SmartBank fixture list being released this Wednesday 30th June. The Real Oviedo sports management structure is advancing with preparations for preseason, which will begin on 7th July, with warm-up matches now organised ahead of the new league season.

The sports management team currently has seven friendly matches scheduled, five of which have now been confirmed. The opponents for the two remaining friendlies will soon be announced.

As normal, Real Oviedo will begin preseason with a match against the B team. The game will be played on 17th July at El Requexón. One week later, Los Azules will travel to the Suárez Puerta to face Real Avilés, who have just been promoted to the 2ª RFEF Division. The fixture in Avilés will kick off at 19:00 on 24th July. Real Oviedo will then travel to León on 28th July, to face Cultural Leonesa. The final match in July will see the Asturians face CD Lugo in the Trofeo Emma Cuervo. The match will be played at the Municipal Pepe Barrera in Ribadeo, on 31st July. Finally, Los Azules will travel to face SD Ponferradina at El Toralín on 7th August.

Real Oviedo's sports management is close to confirming the two remaining friendlies to complete preseason. The players will begin preseason training on 7th July at El Requexón.
