Anduva today played host to Real Oviedo's trip to face CD Mirandés in Matchday 18 in LaLiga Smartbank, with the points eventually being shared.
The team from the capital of Asturias went out with a starting eleven made up of Femenías; Carlos Isaac, David Costas, Dani Calvo, Mossa; Sangalli, Jimmy, Brugman, Viti; Pombo and Borja Bastón. Today's encounter was a hard-fought affair, in which the two teams went toe-to-toe.
The first half saw the two sides sizing each other up and looking to attack down the flanks in order to hurt the opponent. Real Oviedo put together a fine passing move which eventually saw Marco Sangalli curl wide, in what was the best chance of the first half. Mirandés barely had any dangerous opportunities, with the Asturians very solid in defence.
The second half began with the CD Mirandés goal, which forced Los Azules to push forward in search of an equaliser. Cuco Ziganda made a triple change, bringing on Luismi, Borja Sánchez and Matheus Aiás. It would be the Brazilian who levelled the scores, firing home a wonder goal for the Asturian team. Joni Montiel was next to come off the bench, with Real Oviedo controlling possession and the play, but unable to convert their chances. The match ended with no further goals, despite the away team's relentless efforts.
All-square at Anduva, where Real Oviedo picked up another point, allowing them to cut the gap to the playoff positions.
