Real Oviedo winger Omar Ramos today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.

The wideman began by analysing the team’s start to the season, reasoning that “we’ve not started that well, but we’ve not been outplayed by anybody. We’ve had chances both to win and to lose in every match, but luck has not been on our side. That’s football, and it also happens to the big teams in the Primera. We have to try to improve and concentrate. We haven’t been playing too badly.” In addition, regarding areas to improve on, he said that “things aren’t going well, but I don’t think it’s a mental issue. We have to stay calm; there’s a long way to go. We have to improve the things we’ve been doing badly.”

With respect to the goals conceded in the final minutes of matches, the attacker believes that “it’s happened to us in all three games, but we will also win matches in the final minute this season. The issues aren’t in the play, but in set pieces. We have to concentrate.”

Finally, asked for his feelings on an individual level, Omar concluded by highlighting that “I’m feeling better. It’s about improving little by little. I have to make the most of the opportunities I’m given by the Coach and keep working. It’s a long season. I hadn’t had a preseason for four years and spent a lot of time out. I did the preseason this year and I’m feeling well. Now I need to get into a footballing rhythm.”
