Real Oviedo striker Joselu appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today, after the team trained behind closed doors.
Joselu, now back in training with the squad, commented that “I’m doing great and feeling good. I’m adapting and happy with how everything’s gone. I’m not quite at 100%, but I’m available for whatever the Coach needs of me. I’m grateful to the medical staff and to Michi, who has been crucial in my recovery.” In addition, regarding the need to get game time in the Real Oviedo shirt, the attacker admitted that “I’m very hungry to be able to play and help the team. We want the victory and we need it. It’s clear that we’re not doing that well, but we are confident and know that it’s a long season.”
Asked about his chances of starting at Anduva, Joselu stated that “the Coach hasn’t told me anything. He just wanted to know how I’m feeling. Now he has to decide. I’m up for anything, whether it’s starting, coming on for twenty minutes, or supporting from the bench. I want to contribute. That’s what we all want.”
Finally, with respect to the formation and the possibility of playing with two up front, the forward concluded by highlighting that “he (Egea) has always said that he likes to play with two strikers. We haven’t been able to so far, but we’ll see if we can now. I link up well with everyone, and I want to try it with Ortuño to see how we get on.”
