Real Oviedo captain Oier Luengo appeared in the Press Room this morning and evaluated the latest club news. The team, which has picked up four out of a possible six points so far, started preparations for Friday's league clash with Racing this Tuesday. Los Azules will go into the encounter at the Carlos Tartiere looking to get back to winning ways.
"We are really looking forward to going back home. What we experienced last year was incredible. We are looking forward to going back home and winning again."
"We started very badly last year and look where we ended up. This year we have started better. We want to get back to performing how we did in preseason, because we aren't doing it at the moment. There is a lot to improve on. We have to be self-critical, but also value that we have taken four points from six. The fact they were newly-promoted teams doesn't mean anything, because they are very tough opponents to beat."
Finally, asked about the fact that the club has beaten its season-ticket record, the centre back reasoned that "people are hooked on it and excited. The club has had very difficult years, but last year excited us all. We all have the same hope and the same desire to do something great."
