Real Oviedo presented this Thursday, September 3, at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium, David Jiménez and Mikel Goti as the new players of the blue team. The event was attended by the club's sporting director, David Fernández, who accompanied the players in their official introduction as Carbayón players.

"For me, this is a step forward in my career. I am joining a historic club and I will defend this jersey with everything I have," Mikel Goti declared first. "I believe my ideal position is as an attacking midfielder, although I can play in other midfield positions," he added.

For his part, David Jiménez also expressed his happiness about joining Oviedo. "I know the demands of this club. I am very happy to be here. I don't focus on the players in each position. I just aim to help in whatever the coach asks of me," he stated.

After the statements from the two players, David Fernández, the blue sporting director, took the floor and assessed Real Oviedo's transfer market. "We are very satisfied with the squad. We have brought in the players we wanted. We have a squad that matches the stature of the club we represent. As of today, we have the number and quality of players we aimed for," he commented.
