Real Oviedo forward Samuel Obeng appeared in a press conference today and analysed how he is feeling during a preseason which has seen him score three goals in the friendly matches.
The striker stated that he is feeling "better and better and getting up to pace little by little". He explained that his target for the year is "commitment, effort, hard work, and the more goals the better". With regards to new forwards joining the club, he reasoned that "everyone who comes in is welcome. Healthy competition is a good thing and makes us demand more of ourselves." Meanwhile, regarding his personal role, Obeng added that "every goal I score is giving me more confidence". He went on to describe Matheus as "a good lad. He is hungry to give it everything and contribute what he can to the team."
The Head Coach has praised Obeng's performances, and the striker highlighted that "I'm grateful. He's always made me feel he has confidence in me, and I'm grateful, because that's important for me." Obeng went on to say that his future lies in the present. "I'm a Real Oviedo player and I still maintain the commitment I've had since the first minute here. There are moves every transfer window, but I'm still a player at this club today and I'm still here."
