Real Oviedo have come to an agreement to obtain the services of goalkeeper Nereo Champagne as a permanent signing for the next two seasons and an option for one more depending on the fulfillment of certain objectives.

The 33-year-old player was born on January 20, 1985 in Salto, Argentina. He trained in the youth academies of San Lorenzo de Almagro. He treasures the great experiences he had in Argentine football as he played for San Lorenzo de Almagro, Ferro, and Olimpo de Bahía Blanca, accumulating a total of 167 matches played. After his journey in South America, Nereo Champagne went to LaLiga, and played goalkeeper for CD Leganés where he played in a total of 14 matches during the last two seasons.

Champagne is an even-keeled goalkeeper, with a great build, highlighted by his speed at the goal and his ability to defend high balls.

He is expected to begin training on July 10th after undergoing medical examination at Clínica Asturias. He will train under the direction of Juan Antonio Anquela.
