Real Oviedo full back Mossa today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
Two consecutive victories, with good performances and goals. There had been a lot of demand for those things, particularly the latter. How is the squad doing?
- We're happy. Victories bring happiness and you approach the week in a better way. We have to keep believing in what we are doing.
How important was it for the squad to pick up a convincing victory like Sunday's against Castellón?
- The three points always help, and if they come in that fashion then you enjoy them more. We miss the fans, they would have enjoyed the match.
Do you believe that the team could end up quite a lot higher up the table than the current position?
- I think that we are a team that is under construction, and the day-to-day work will mark our path. We have to keep growing and improving on the things we are doing well.
What does it mean to you that Zaragoza have been winless for so long, and have changed their coach this week, with the dismissal of Baraja?
- Even more respect than normal, if possible. They are in poor form and will have even more of a focus on the match. They will have an added motivation with a new coach. We will go there with a lot of respect.
Zaragoza was the match which virtually guaranteed survival last season. Do you go into the match with calm following the last two victories and with hunger to pick up a third win, which would see the team rise up the table?
- There is never calm. This has only just begun, and we want to achieve the third consecutive victory. We have to prepare for the match as well as possible, because it will be a difficult game. We will go for it.
There is a sense that the Coach is opting for Mossa at the Tartiere and Lucas away from home. How do you feel about that rotation?*
- I think that's what's been happening, but it's a trivial matter. I am focused on the day-to-day work. The Coach is the one who decides and I back his decision. I train to play at home and away. The important things are the team, all of us contributing, and winning matches. That is what will benefit all of us.
How are you feeling about the current season on a personal level?
- We were feeling good at the start, but the results were lacking, although we might have deserved more. It's a new season, with new challenges and new teammates. We have to contribute to the group, which is the important thing, and the team has to win matches.
