Real Oviedo full back, José María Angresola Jiménez “Mossa”, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón following the latest training session.

Following the Winter Break and four days back in training, the left back declared that, “a rest is always helpful, but we were eager to get back to work.” Asked about what he expects from Real Oviedo in 2018, he said that, “we ended the year in good form, but football has no memory. We must maintain the feelings we ended the year with. We’ve turned things around, but we are now going to a very difficult ground. They are strong at home and will make things hard for us.”

Real Oviedo have an opportunity to continue their fine form this Sunday when they visit the Alcoraz stadium. Regarding the match against SD Huesca, Mossa admitted that, “it will be a good game. We are going away to
the team top of the league. It’s a challenge to get us going again and play well.” In addition, talking about the weekend’s opponent, Mossa pointed out that, “they are a good team, and they are showing it. They are solid, they defend well, and they dominate many phases of the game. They break quickly, and will be a tough obstacle. They have quick players and will be a difficult opponent.”

With respect to Huesca’s league position and Real Oviedo’s ability to achieve positive results against the teams at the top of the table, Mossa emphasised that, “if they are top then that is because they do things well. Who we are playing is important, but we are always the most important thing. We need to have complete respect for our opponent and perform at our best.”

Finally, talking about the team’s improvement during the final stage of the year, the full back argued that, “you can’t build a team in a month, and we have been improving week by week. We are getting better and better and we are working together to build a team. That is what makes us better,” Mossa concluded.
