Real Oviedo forward Francisco Mascarenhas 'Masca' was today presented with December's award for the 'Jugador 5 Estrellas Mahou' Player of the Month. The striker's fine performances saw him bring 2023 to an end with a prize, after winning the fan vote. "It is a reward for many months of hard work and not playing as much. In the end I ended up having chances during those final weeks of the year and I am grateful for the award."
The player moved on to respond to questions from the Oviedistas, including an explanation of his 'Masca Time' celebration, and a description of how the team feels about having the fans' support, saying that "it's crazy how much people live for this club."
