The Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere today hosted the official presentation of Luismi as a new Real Oviedo player.
The Andalusian was joined by the club's Managing Director David Alonso Mata as he appeared before the gathered media upon returning to his former club. The midfielder began the press conference by analysing the "long and difficult" summer he has experienced, before describing being "grateful to Real Oviedo for the effort and patience they had shown in making it all happen. I am happy and hungry to help."
Asked about his physical condition, Luismi highlighted that "it's true that I did preseason with Elche, but I didn't play any matches. I caught Covid and stopped training and had to just do what my body allowed me to do. I've trained with the team today, although I've been running for the last few days now. I am going to do a mini preseason, so as to get up to speed as quickly as possible."
Finally, regarding his return to Real Oviedo, the midfielder highlighted that "I want to enjoy the city, the club, and the fanbase, and grow together with the team. The objective is obviously to have a good year. There are new players, the club is making a great effort, and we have to be at the required standard. I feel at home in Oviedo and wanted to come back. The move got held up, but I had talked about it with the club. It was an easy decision, even though it may not seem like it because of how long it took."
