Asked about his first-team contributions, as one of the players who has been training alongside Cuco Ziganda's squad, the winger highlighted that "I focus on the day-to-day work. Everybody wants to get to the top. It's a privilege to be with the first team. I am available for whatever they need from me. I always want to be at 100%."
Álex Cardero has been included in the Spain Under-19 preliminary squad, alongside club teammate Lucas Laso. The Asturian admitted that "I was happy. Everybody wants to be there. This is thanks to those who have been there and who are there for me."
Finally, regarding what he has learnt with the first team, the youngster highlighted that "you learn from everyone, although it is true that you focus on those players who have certain characteristics. I have to do physical work to feel more assured on the pitch."
