Real Oviedo Head Coach Luis Carrión appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón this morning ahead of the Copa del Rey fixture against CD Castellón. "It's a team that plays very good football. There's not a huge distance between them and the Segunda División. We are going there with the intention of putting in a good performance and winning. We want to win the match and get through to the next round."
Los Azules go into the encounter off the back of the 2-0 victory against Espanyol at the Carlos Tartiere, and the team is looking for more. "I am trying to build the team's confidence. If the team knows what it is doing and is confident then it can beat anybody. This victory gives us strength and we want to keep going. It's a clear example that we can beat anybody."
The Asturians will go into the cup fixture with several absences, but the Gaffer has full confidence in his entire squad. "Whoever goes out there has to say 'Í'm here'. Whoever plays tomorrow will give us options, and I am sure that we will put in a good performance."
"The most important match is tomorrow's one, I want to be clear about that. I'm not going to pick a team with one eye on Santander. We want to get through in the cup, and I am not going to rest anybody thinking about Sunday's fixture in Santander."
