The Real Oviedo fullback Diegui Johannesson visited the press conference room after the first team's morning session at El Requexón sport facilities.
After another day's work, the "carbayón" defender appeared "very pleased", adding that "even though I am a little tired, training is better on sunny days".
When asked about his personal feelings after the first few weeks of work under Juan Antonio Anquela, Johannesson responded that "he is promising. The first day, he gave us a motivating speech. He is perceived well, with a desire to work". Additionally, after completing three training sessions, Diegui stated that "I am focused on football, and working to improve".
Regarding the responsibility he should assume this season, after accumulating four seasons as a player with the Real Oviedo first team, Diegui understands that "it's not like it was at the beginning, now I have more responsibility. I will help my teammates and keep on growing". In addition, about his situation with Saúl as the only two Asuturians in the first team, he believes that "there is additional responsibility, even though there are also players from the affiliate team who are from the area. Hopefully some of them stay with us. I know them, they are good companions and I hope they have an opportunity. They need to pay attention to what I did. With work and effort, the opportunity will come".
When asked about the objectives to focus on as the season begins to develop, Johannesson replied, "I don't think about objectives. I have to work everyday to be strong in the games, and we'll see what happens".
Concerning the competition that the defender will square up against, Diegui believes that "someone good is going to arrive, of course, and all that's left is to compete with him".
Finally, regarding his renewal which will keep him tied to Real Oviedo for the next two seasons, Diegui stated that he is "very pleased. I already knew that I wanted continue here. We all understand each other, everything was simple and I am very happy to be here".
