Real Oviedo midfielder Jimmy today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
Following another training session, the Asturian admitted that "we are going through an unusual week, and I'd prefer not to have this break (between fixtures). We have more time to prepare for the match against a great team though. We have to do things well. We are pushing it, recharging our batteries, and being strong."
Regarding the importance of the break going into the remainder of the season, the midfielder said that "it's a hard league which demands a lot of you. We are recharging our batteries now for what's coming up."
Asked how he would rate his season so far, Jimmy reasoned that "I prefer to focus on the group. That's the important thing. I've got gametime, but things aren't working out for us. I think the team looks better than at the start, both in defence and in attack, but errors are punishing us. We can't gift away chances. We have to improve and push on."
Finally, speaking about the current competition for places in the centre of the park, Jimmy concluded that "I like competition, it's a good thing. It makes us more demanding of ourselves."
