Real Oviedo midfielder Jimmy today gave the latest press conference from home, responding to the different questions put to him by members of the media.
How is the lockdown going for you?
- Good, quite good. It's true that the first few days were hard because nobody is used to it, but I have a routine now.
What are your days like now?
- It's important to have a routine. I try to train every morning and afternoon. I also try to make time for friends on FaceTime or WhatsApp, I like to watch series, spend time with my family, read...
How do you keep in touch with the coaching staff and team?
- As well as contact through WhatsApp, we try to hold weekly video conferences to watch training videos and matches, to look at the things we have to improve on if the league resumes.
Do your eating habits change in a situation like this?
- I try to change them as little as possible, although you do have to eat
smaller portions, since the training sessions aren't as demanding.
Have you ever spent so long without kicking a football, apart from when injured?
- No, and the truth is that I really miss football. I have a ball at home and not a day goes by without me doing keepy ups with my brother.
Do you think this will mark a 'before and after' in the world of football?
- It's a difficult question. The league has stopped, and when it resumes I don't know whether the grounds will be full or not. The economic impact for the clubs is huge. I hope that everything can return to normal.
