The Real Oviedo coach is expecting to face a strong Numancia side, who are currently seven unbeaten, "and to beat them we will have to do a lot of things well"

Real Oviedo Head Coach Javi Rozada appeared in the Press Room this morning, ahead of tomorrow's match against CD Numancia at the Carlos Tartiere.

The Coach began by giving an update on the state of his players, who, with the exception of Arribas, "are all fine. We will call up 19 players for tomorrow's game. We are very hopeful for tomorrow's match." Ahead of the third fixture of the week, he added "I like it when everyone gives the best they can. We have a big squad. On Wednesday I gave a chance to some players who hadn't been playing, and tomorrow will be more difficult because they all showed their ability. We will try to find the best eleven to face this opponent, Numancia."

Following the victory, Rozada stated "I still see the team in the same way; it's looking good. A great side is coming in Numancia. They are in a playoff position and seven matches unbeaten. Their coach is very hungry and it will be an incredibly difficult match. It's going to be about managing the game man to man. They have a good group. If we manage to minimise their strengths then we will win the match. We'll have to be at the same level as in the last two matches or even better to win. We will have to do a lot of things well. At the Tartiere there were periods of the game when we were penned back, but I think that after getting the first victory the team will be a bit more fluent and we will generate better situations in the opponent's half. We are going to put in our best performance of the season at the Tartiere tomorrow."

The Real Oviedo Head Coach said that the fans "are crucial. We wouldn't have drawn against Extremadura without them. They pushed us on against Real Zaragoza. If we manage to get the win tomorrow then I think a new and exciting season will begin for everyone, and I believe that, despite the timetabling, the fans will be there supporting and helping us tomorrow."

Asked about the team's defensive solidity in Tenerife, Rozada explained that "I think that the defence played well on Wednesday. It was organised and befitting of the division. Carlos, Christian, Mossa and Sangalli, being protected by the whole team... They didn't make any mistakes, but then I don't think they will make any. They are very experienced players and they will play like that many times. What has been hardest for me to work on has been the lapses in concentration, but the whole team is getting the idea that they have to be highly focused for the whole match. We have our philosophy but we are adapting to each match. We are preparing very well so that no detail gets away from us."

The Coach also added that "I've always been calm. I was worried about the need for a victory because of the players, the atmosphere and the environment. What I am most worried about, though, is the day-to-day work, trying to help the players and giving high-quality training sessions. I will be the same, and would have prepared for this match in the same way whatever the score on Wednesday. Winning the match makes you happy, but only on Wednesday. We got up at 5am the next day to go to the airport. We were watching videos of Numancia on the plane on the way back. I think we have a good match plan. They have been intense days with little relaxation, but we are going into it in good shape.".

Finally, asked about Joe Aboumbrad's visit, Javi Rozada said that "whenever he came in the past, he always came into the B team dressing room and encouraged us. He's shown full confidence in us and encouraged us to keep working as we are. We have to stay humble but without losing our ambition. Winning is always better than drawing. They (Grupo Carso) are winning people and what they want in this project is people who are always trying to win. We are bottom and we mustn't forget it. But we must also keep doing what we have been doing, which is going out to win. And we must keep doing it all season."
