Real Oviedo striker Ibrahima Baldé today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
After a session of psychological work ahead of training, the Senegalese forward commented that “it’s something positive and changes your way of thinking. It’s important to have somebody who talks to you. We are looking for what’s best for us. We are having a bad time of it and need a victory now. We want to win more than anybody. When the good results arrive, everything will change.”
Regarding Rozada’s arrival as First-Team Head Coach, Ibra stated that “you can see that he has clear ideas of how to get out of this situation. We have to focus and help ourselves. I’ve told Javi I’m here for whatever the team needs. I want to compete and help the team. I am prepared. I want to get on the pitch and compete. Hopefully we can get the three points this Sunday.”
With respect to the tactical points which the Coach has been stressing this week, the attacker believes that “it’s about adjusting. We have to keep growing, since in this game you learn new things every day. It’s good to have a coach on top of you. Winning is the only thing that counts and the Coach is of that style.”
Speaking about the next opponent, Real Zaragoza, the forward believes that “the only thing that matters now is focusing on ourselves. We have to win the match. We respect our opponent, but we have responsibility, humility and hunger to work for the win.”
Finally, regarding the atmosphere he’s expecting at the Carlos Tartiere on Sunday, Ibra concluded by saying that “our fans always support us and we have to fight to the death. We know we have our fans behind us and the only thing left for us to do is to play football and win matches.”
