Real Oviedo Vetusta today lost away against Salamanca CF UDS at El Helmántico. The defeat is a blow for Cañedo's side and reduces the chances of the B team staying in the current division.
Vetusta lined up for the match with a starting eleven made up of Kane Sarr, Ámez, Ugarte, Pedro Inglés, Armenteros, Rober Sierra, Joselu Guerra, Eloy Ordóñez, Meléndez, Sandoval and Javi Cueto. They started the match well, but Salamanca gradually pushed on and were 2-0 up by the break.
Salamanca extended the lead after the interval, making the score 3-0. The B team kept trying, but was unable to fight back. Salamanca CF UDS added the fourth and final goal in the final minutes.
Los Azules will face Coruxo at home next time out. They will need to win and hope other results go their way in order to stay in with a chance of survival going into the final game.
