On a day like today, January 13, in the year 1980, our player Parajón, who was a great promise of Asturian football, passed away in a traffic accident.
Coming from the youth categories of Real Oviedo, Cesáreo Parajón Moro (Lieres, Siero; 10-6-1959), known in the football world by his first surname, had debuted in the club's first team on September 3, 1978.
In his short sports career, tragically ended at the age of 20, Parajón played 49 official matches with Real Oviedo's first team, in which he scored 17 goals. He was an international player with the Spanish under-19 team.
Parajón was a footballer greatly loved by his teammates and by Real Oviedo fans due to his humility and dedication on the field, which, combined with his youth, made the news of his death cause deep sorrow among the great Oviedo family.
