Real Oviedo Vetusta will begin preseason friendly matches this Saturday with the trip to the Estadio Sergio Sánchez in El Berrón, with the fixture kicking off at 19:00.
The ranks of Real Oviedo Vetusta were bolstered this week with the addition of six Nigerian players from the Ajuwa Real Oviedo Academy. The aim is for the players to train under our academy methodology and get to know the mechanisms and work done by our youth-team coaches. Three of the players will join up with our Juvenil side on Monday, working under Jaime Arias, while the other three players will continue to work with Real Oviedo Vetusta.
Two of the Nigerian players have been called up for this evening's clash in El Berrón. The full squad list is as follows: Diego, Marco, Charbel, Javi Moreno, René, Samu. Miguel Berlanga, Gabri, Gonzalo, Isaac, Chus, Pablo, Izan, Iván, Eloy Ordóñez, Varo, Iván Conceiçao, Guille Bernabéu, Vanderson, David Iglesias, Samuel and Hardy.
This is the first preseason friendly of the summer for Vetusta, who will play a further six friendlies in August.
