Real Oviedo finished the preseason with a victory against Real Valladolid in the Trofeo Ramón Losada in Luarca, in a focused game full of opportunities and shots from the Real Oviedo side. Anquela once again started three youth players, with Prendes, Viti, and Asier who all and played at a high level and completed the entire game, except for Prendes who left the game early due to an injury. The Real Oviedo seemed happy to attack from the kick-off, with an early warning from Toché in the first few passes of the game, a forced shot from Aarón in a counter attack from a pass by Jorge Ortiz. The latter would go on to score the winning goal of the game, putting a way a ball passed from a free kick by Aarón. Asier spent too much time thinking in the box and the defense cleared it, but Toché had another clear opportunity that Masip managed to stop. The last play of the first half was made by Jorge Ortiz, who tried to finish a free kick but the Real Valladolid goalkeeper prevented the goal.

In the second half, and without any changes until the end of the match besides the light injuries to Prendes and Verdés, the team remained focused defensively, including a big save from Juan Carlos from a free kick. Becerra saved one shot on the line that came from Toché, managing to barely touch the ball that rolled slowly towards the goal line. Becerra also shined in a double save, first a shot from Toché and then a shot from the corner. Carlos had the final save for Real Oviedo in the final moments of the game, which was intensified by several successive fouls that ended the game.

Real Oviedo returns home for another training session tomorrow, Sunday, at 10:00 horas in El Requexón.
