After a break from competition last weekend, Real Oviedo Vetusta were back in action at El Requexón this Sunday. Los Azules would end up triumphing 2-1 against CD Guijuelo.
Jaime Álvarez opted for a starting eleven made up of Marco; Javi Moreno, Lucas Laso, René Pérez, Osky; Mangel, Izan, Álex Cardero; Sesé, Miguel Cuesta and Mario Fuente. The team went into the encounter determined to get the three points, and the first half saw them play very professionally. The side was intense and won a lot of 50/50s, taking control of the game and dealing with the visitors' threat without too many problems. Miguel Cuesta put Jaime Álvarez's team into the lead as he met a fine cross, and the B team went into halftime with the advantage.

The opening phase of the second half was very similar to the start of the first, with Real Oviedo beginning very strongly and getting a second goal just a few minutes after the restart. Miguel Cuesta would be the one on target once more, with the away keeper powerless to do anything to deny the fine strike. Guijuelo took a step forward after the second goal, taking the control of the ball away from Jaime Álvarez's side, but Vetusta also had several chances to extend their advantage on the counter attack. Enol came on in the first change for Los Azules, just before the away team missed a penalty. Víctor Blanco, Gabri Rabanillo, Iván, and Charbel all also featured, with the away team grabbing a consolation goal from the penalty spot in the final minute.

This was an important victory for Los Azules to boost the good feeling that had remained around the team in recent matches in spite of the results. Jaime Álvarez's team will travel to face CD Laredo.
