Real Oviedo winger, Diego Fabbrini, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón following the second training session of the week for Juan Antonio Anquela’s men.

The Italian, who is now fully integrated into the squad following a long-term injury, came in at a time “which hasn’t been great for the team results-wise. That’s normal though; in any season you always have different runs. You have good runs and bad runs, and that’s why it’s very important that we only focus on the next match.”

With the next game being at the Carlos Tartiere against Granada, Fabbrini sees it as crucial that the team is returning home. “It’s very important for us to play at home, in our ground and in front of our fans. I think that it could prove to be important that we have more home than away games remaining this season.”

Asked about his possible position this Sunday with Linares and Toché both suspended, the attacker explained that, “I’ve always played as an attacking midfielder, but I can also adapt to playing on the wing or as a striker. I will play wherever the Coach wants me. The Coach is the one who has to answer that question, but it’s true that I have played as a striker before and I have no problem with doing so again.”

With respect to the upcoming opponent, who currently have three more points that the Asturian side, Fabbrini expects Granada to be “difficult, because every game in this division is difficult. There is no easy opponent nor any easy matches. We must only think about playing well and giving everything to win against a good side.”

The Italian now finds himself in a “very good” state physically, and also commented that, “the dressing room is calm. Like I’ve said before, this type of situation can come up during such a long season, and it’s all about staying in the moment. We must continue on our path; working hard, staying calm and only thinking about winning the next match. It’s normal that the fans worry, and nobody likes this situation, but this Sunday we are going to play well and try to make them happy. We are only thinking about Granada, and then afterwards we will do the same with the following match.”
