Real Oviedo experienced a very special afternoon this Wednesday in the heart of the city. The Plaza de La Catedral became the stage for the official handover of the new Hyundai vehicles to the blue squad, in an event open to the public that gathered numerous Oviedo fans and was broadcast live through the Club's official channels.
The event was attended by Jesús Martínez, president of Grupo Pachuca and owner of Real Oviedo, and Polo Satrústegui, general director of Hyundai Motor Spain, who accompanied the squad and the coaching staff on a day marked by closeness with the fans and Oviedo pride.
The occasion served to celebrate the third consecutive year of collaboration between Real Oviedo and Hyundai Asturdai – Grupo Resnova, with the addition of an expanded fleet of 55 vehicles.
During the event, the players received their cars on a rally-style ramp installed in the Plaza de La Catedral, in a festive atmosphere with gifts, music, and a large presence of fans. At the same time, an institutional event took place at the Hotel de La Reconquista, culminating with the arrival of the players after a very special journey through the city center.
The day left a memorable image: the entire first team of Real Oviedo driving together through the streets of their city, in a caravan surrounded by hundreds of Oviedo fans. Additionally, prior to this event, the players distributed 300 balls to the fans who came to join them, creating moments of joy and connection with a fanbase that once again demonstrated its unconditional passion for the team of their city.
Framed within the Centenary year of Real Oviedo, the event symbolized the union between the club, the city, and the fans, reaffirming the entity's commitment to its supporters and to Oviedo, the blue engine that gives meaning to everything.
