Real Oviedo and Grupo Pachuca have been honored with one of the ASICOM–University of Oviedo Ibero-American Awards 2025, a recognition that celebrates the excellence and commitment of individuals and institutions that have contributed to strengthening cultural, academic, and social ties in the Ibero-American sphere.
In this edition, alongside the blue club, the Cuban actress Laura Ramos, the Asturian-Mexican businessman Francisco Mieres, the philosopher Adela Cortina, the composer Manuel Alejandro, and the Spanish Television sports journalist Jesús Álvarez have also been awarded.
The president of Grupo Pachuca, Jesús Martínez, accepted the award on behalf of Real Oviedo and Grupo Pachuca, accompanied by Dr. Gabriela Murgía and the president of Real Oviedo, Martín Peláez. The distinction recognizes the entity's trajectory and international projection, as well as its commitment to the values of sports and the community.
The event was also attended by members of the Club's management team, the coaches of the men's and women's first teams, Luis Carrión and Andrea Suárez, as well as players David Costas, Salomón Rondón, Ana Buceta, and Eva Lois, who accompanied the blue delegation on a very special day for Oviedismo.
The ASICOM–University of Oviedo Ibero-American Awards, organized by the Ibero-American Communication Association (ASICOM) and the University of Oviedo, are awarded annually to professionals and entities that have excelled in their respective disciplines within the Ibero-American context.
Real Oviedo deeply appreciates this distinction, which reinforces the club's commitment to society, culture, and the shared values between Asturias and the Ibero-American community.
