Real Oviedo defeated Real Zaragoza 1-0 today in a topsy-turvy match, with Paulino scoring a 91st minute winner to send the Oviedistas crazy. Paunovic's side kept going to the end and did not stop believing, with the result leaving Los Azules just two points off the automatic promotion places.

Real Oviedo went into today's match with a starting eleven made up of Aarón Escandell, Oier Luengo, Dani Calvo, David Costas, Rahim, Colombatto, Sibo, Portillo, Hassan, Cazorla, and Fede Viñas. The team emerged dominantly and looked to impose their playing style on the match right from the outset, although Zaragoza demonstrated their defensive solidity. Rahim gave the side an outlet down the left wing, providing an attacking threat. The worst news of the first half was the injury suffered by Viñas, who was replaced by Alemão.

Los Carbayones looked to continue in the same fashion after the interval, and in the 60th minute Cazorla had the opportunity to open the scoring from the penalty spot. However, his effort struck the post. Paulino, Cardero, and Seoane came on for Hassan, Cazorla, and Portillo in the 68th minute. The Tartiere crowd pushed the side on in search of victory, and Paraschiv came on in a final push for the winner. The goal finally arrived in the 91st minute, with Paraschiv flicking the ball on from a corner, and Paulino de la Fuente converting a diving header.

The last-gasp goal sent the crowd wild and provided three crucial points for a team that does not want to give up on the dream of automatic promotion. The team is now two points off second place, and will travel to the Heliodoro to face CD Tenerife next time out.
