Real Oviedo and Guillermo Castrillejo, “Castri,” have reached an agreement to extend the attacker’s contract with Los Azules for another season, and the option of another year available.
Castri, who arrived in Asturias last summer, and soon became one of the key components for Real Oviedo Vetusta’s promotion to Segunda RFEF. In just 18 games, he scored 9 goals that didn’t just add points, but also carried Roberto Aguirre’s team to complete a brilliant season culminating in achieving the goal of promotion with four games still remaining before the conclusion of the competition.
He is known for his shooting ability, strength, and goalscoring instinct; all of which he will continue employing for Los Carbayones.
His renewal, together with that already announced of Tejón, reflects the commitment the club has of maintaining the core group that secured promotion and will continue constructing a team that is strong, ambitious, and has a clear identity.
