We have travelled to Lagos, Nigeria again this week to gain a first-hand insight into the development of Academia Ajuwa Real Oviedo and the youngsters who form part of it, as well as their needs and the improvements which have to be put into place.
The Real Oviedo Foundation project was born in 2018 and provides more than 50 young people in the African nation with the necessary means to cover their needs and develop their footballing talent, with Real Oviedo the main backer of the programme.
We have once again travelled to the Nigerian capital with equipment to distribute and a programme of meetings with local institutions. Football will offer a point of union, with the academy players taking part in a tournament during our stay.
This is another step to consolidate Real Oviedo's brand, with educational and social projects in Africa and throughout the world.
