Christmas 2020 Objective: 'Our Own'

A great challenge in the first of three initiatives focused on helping, supporting and raising awareness in the most special and different period of the year

The month of December is now underway. These are the final weeks of a year in which words will move into the background. Because if there is something we have been determined to succeed in during 2020 off the pitch, it has been one objective. We want 'our own' to feel proud and involved, and identify with the values of our club. We are taking a step up in terms of our social responsibility as a brand during the toughest moments which our society has faced.
As such, the weeks we are now moving into have even more value than normal. Therefore, the club has been working on three different initiatives, designed to try to help, support, and care for 'our own' in the countdown to Christmas.
The first of the three will be headed up by First-Team Head Coach José Ángel Ziganda and the whole first-team squad,with the collaboration of APARO and Fondo Norte. The campaign will have a slogan and a challenge: one euro per seat, to fill the Tartiere, in a great food collection. The pandemic has prevented the traditional food collections carried out in the final months of the year from taking place in person, but there are still many families in need. Collections, in this case monetary, will allow these families to be provided with sustenance this year, and is very necessary for the Asturias Food Bank. Bags of food cannot be deposited in collection points, supermarkets, or the Carlos Tartiere itself this year, as would traditionally be the case under Fondo Norte's #kilooviedista campaign. For this reason, we have designed a specific website for this unprecedented campaign, where everyone wishing to collaborate will be able to select the symbolic food parcel they wish to donate, with the possibility of donating different sums of money, through a very simple process. The first team have been the first to sign up, contributing more than 2,000 euros, in order to start up the fundraising and the challenge of filling all of the seats in the stadium through the symbolic 'one euro per seat' slogan.
Once the fundraising period is over, the club will present the Asturias Food Bank with the amount of money raised thanks to all of the Oviedistas.
All of the information can be found on losnuestros.realoviedo.es, where, with a few simple steps, you can make your donation in barely a minute. In doing so, you will help to virtually 'fill' the seats of the Tartiere: 'one euro per seat'.
