Following yesterday's defeat against Elche and Sergio Egea's departure, the Argentine commented that "that's football. We know that there are good times and others which are not so good. We have to get through this run like the professionals we are. We are playing for a big club and we know that the responsibility is huge here. We know that the pressure here is the highest it could possibly be."

Regarding Sergio Egea, the keeper highlighted that "he thanked us for our commitment, and we thanked him for his professionalism. We have to continue and change this. We learned about his departure through the club's statements. They were some bitter hours after the defeat."

Asked about the arrival of Javi Rozada, Nereo said that "he's coming in with hunger and intensity. Unfortunately, we haven't been taking our way of working onto the pitch. He's asking us for a winning mentality and intensity. He believes in the squad and knows that we are a good team."
