Real Oviedo has reached an agreement to sign left back Carlos Pomares on a two-year deal.
Carlos Pomares Rayo is 29 years old and was born on 5th December 1992 in Valencia. The full back moved to English football in 2009, progressing through the youth ranks at Sheffield United, before returning to Spanish football in 2012. His path through Spanish football would take him from Levante's B team to Barakaldo, Lorca, Extremadura and Alcorcón. He has spent the last two seasons at CD Tenerife, playing 62 matches. Last season saw him play a total of 2,087 minutes and pick up three assists, as he ended the season by participating in the playoff final for promotion to the First Division.

Carlos Pomares will join up with first-team training on Monday, after passing a medical at the Clínica Asturias. His official presentation will be held on Tuesday 12th July in the Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere. The start time will be announced in the coming days.
