Real Oviedo defender Carlos Hernández appeared in the Press Room this morning following the first team’s training session at El Requexón.
The centre back, a starter in Almería, began by expressing his pleasure at the morale gained by achieving a victory. “The week after a win is always better from a spirits point of view. We needed it after the run we’d been on. We need to focus on winning them all from now on and getting as many points as possible.”
Asked about the change in the team, the defender reasoned that, “luck hadn’t really been on our side too much, but results are the important thing. We did well the other day. It was a good match and it will help us going into what is coming up.”
Next up is Granada on Sunday. Carlos concluded by saying “all of the remaining matches are important, but we are only thinking about this one. We need to concede as little as possible, because they have very good players and are up there for a reason. We have to get wins, particularly at home. The victory has given us a boost to our spirits. We know that Granada have a good team, but we have to recover what we’ve lost at the Tartiere.”
