Press conference of Real Oviedo's coach, Julián Calero, after this afternoon's defeat against Club Deportivo Leganés at the Carlos Tartiere.
"We leave with a bad feeling. We didn't interpret the first half well, in the second we tried to change, to create more scoring opportunities, we had four or six very clear chances, but the reality is that we didn't convert them. In the end, it couldn't be."
In response to journalists' questions, Calero continued with his analysis. "We have the ability to do more, to get into the box more and connect better. We didn't have the accuracy to score, and that costs you. The truth is we've had two home games and haven't scored, the other day with more chances in the first half and today in the second. Football is extremely unforgiving, either you score or you don't, and if you don't score, you get punished."
The Madrid-born coach concluded, "It's on us not to fail. Keep moving forward, stay calm, I will remain calm, not lose perspective, and have the composure to keep working as we are. We can turn things around with accuracy."
